Invicta is a Canadian melodic death and thrash metal band from Kitchener, Ontario, formed in 2017. The group was founded by guitarist and vocalist Kyle Edissi and has built a reputation within the Canadian underground metal scene for their aggressive yet melodic sound. Their style blends elements of classic thrash metal with modern melodic death metal and touches of metalcore, resulting in fast, riff-driven songs with a strong emphasis on intensity and precision. The band’s lineup includes Kyle Edissi on guitar and vocals, Jonah on guitar, and Reef on drums. Invicta released their debut EP *The Executioner* in 2018, which helped establish their identity and introduced their high-energy, tightly composed approach to heavy music. Their work is characterized by sharp guitar riffs, rapid drumming, and a balance between harsh vocal delivery and melodic structure. Since their formation, Invicta has been active in the Ontario metal circuit, performing live shows and continuing to develop new material. They remain an independent act contributing to Canada’s growing extreme metal community, appealing to fans of both traditional thrash and modern melodic metal styles.
